I live outside of US and UK and ordered a canvas print on your website. Why do I need to pay extra for shipping if it is advertised as free on your website?
If you reside outside of the US and UK, we may charge you extra for shipping after you have placed your order. Our average shipping add-on rate is ~$25-$35, however this rate will vary depending on the size of your painting and your location. Our ‘Free Delivery’ offer only applies to customer ordering physical canvas prints in the US and UK which is where our production facilities are based; and of course all customers around the world ordering HQ digital art. We strive to deliver the best quality and price for our customers which is why we have not included shipping to countries outside of the US and UK - to make our prices more competitive. Please note that any import duties specific to your country are also not included in the price.
Do you provide any form of proof of authenticity with the digital files?
Yes, we do. We have partnered with the company Verisart that authenticates of each of our AI paintings. You get a certificate of authenticity registered on the blockchain via email so you know the digital version of your painting is 100% unique. No matter digital or physical, every painting is exclusive and is sold only once.
Can I use my painting for commercial purposes?
The prices for the AI paintings listed on our website are for non-commercial use only. If you want to use any of our AI Art for business, please contact our Sales Team at email@example.com, and we will send you a quote.
How can you offer multiple sizes and options if every painting is unique and sold only once?
Yes, every painting in our online art gallery will be sold only once and comes with a blockchain certificate of authenticity. We offer every painting in a variety of sizes with multiple options. However, once you purchase a certain painting, it immediately becomes unavailable to other visitors of the website along with any product options it was previously displayed with. You own the right to the painting, and we guarantee we will never sell an identical painting ever again. You can purchase as many variations of your unique AI print as you want through our online store.
You say every painting is exclusive and is only sold once, but then how come I can put the same painting with different configurations several times into my cart?
When you purchase an AI painting at AI Art Shop, you become the owner of an exclusive piece of art with an accompanying certificate of authenticity. Your painting is stored digitally on our servers. You can order as many physical canvas prints of the same painting that you purchased in as many different configurations as you want, as long as we can verify your identity. Once you purchase a painting, it becomes unavailable to other visitors and will be removed from our website after some time. However, your order is stored safely on our servers and you can order additional copies of the same painting in different configurations. This is my first time buying AI Art, how is it different to that produced by humans?
AI Art is art created by Artificial Intelligence algorithms on a computer without any human involvement whatsoever. Those machine learning algorithms are created by humans, but the process of art creation is all AI. The only human involvement once the creation process is over is painting selection. It takes our team of artists many hours to select the best paintings from every pool of generated art.
AI Art generation is a technological approach to art. It is a highly computationally intensive process that takes time and a lot of computing power. Properly training just one AI algorithm requires workstations with multiple high VRAM dedicated graphical processing units (GPUs) and powerful CPUs.
The end result of this lengthy process guided by our developers is an algorithm that is able to generate images in a certain style. The task of our creative team is then to select the best artworks (usually 0.1-0.5%) and name them by deciphering their meaning.
How do you name an AI painting?
Naming the paintings is the only human involvement in the creation process. We strongly believe that the name of a painting should reflect its inner meaning, a story the AI may have wanted to tell. We take this step in the creation process very seriously. Especially with abstract art, every painting can be interpreted differently by different people. Our names stimulate your imagination by offering many distinct perspectives of both the physical and emotional worlds conveyed by the painting.
How do you price AI Art?
AI Art is a recent phenomenon and like everything new was met with a rather high price tag. The first AI painting was sold at Christies for 432,500 USD.
AI Art has come a long way since then as technology progressed and the price has fallen tremendously. At AI Art Shop we price our paintings based on multiple factors such as the number of hours of training that went into developing a specific AI algorithm for a certain art style; the amount of time and effort that our team of art experts put into selecting the best 0.1-0.5% of the paintings, assigning them to different art styles and creating names.
Is every painting created by a dedicated AI algorithm?
We have over 20 different AI algorithms developed by our tech team that differ by art style, length of training and other technical factors and that number is growing. Each algorithm is capable of generating thousands of painting, however only a select number of them is displayed on our website as a lot of the generated paintings is noise.
Does AI Art have the same value as art created by humans?
This is more of a philosophical question. We do believe that AI Art is a rising trend in the art world and undoubtedly paintings produced AI today will hold their value in the future with some paintings growing in value.
The creative resource of AI is unbounded. However, what makes our paintings truly outstanding and exclusive is the combined creative input of AI and our team of art experts. Artificial Intelligence is an incredible tool for creative ideas but without rigorous selection it would unlikely be appealing to the average customer (say someone wanting to buy a painting for their home).
So, if you want to experience something fresh and new, something of exceptional and consistent quality, something that has exclusivity and is destined to set a high standard for art in the future, then we suggest you give AI Art a try. Which countries do you ship to?
We are an international company and ship paintings to most locations in the world. At checkout, we currently offer only two free of charge shipping locations - the USA and UK. If you would like your painting to be delivered to a different location then please contact us at email@example.com and we will provide you with a custom quote.
How long does shipping take?
This largely depends on the country which you want your paintings to be shipped to. On average, shipping takes about 3-5 business days post print production although it may take slightly longer depending on your location. Please note that due to COVID-19 shipping time may exceed the usual delivery time and take up to 14 days.
Is my painting insured against damage during shipping?
Insurance is not included, however we do guarantee a full refund on the rare occasion that your painting arrives damaged.
How is my painting packed?
We make every effort possible to protect your painting from damage during transportation. We carefully wrap each painting in a protective sleeve and pack it in a cardboard box. We also add additional plastic or cardboard protective elements inside the cardboard box to ensure maximum protection of the corners of the painting.
Will I be charged any import duties or tax upon arrival of my painting in my country?
All the prices on our website include VAT, however, are exclusive of any import duties or additional country-specific tax that you may be charged upon delivery to your country. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this, it just part of the process of operating internationally. We suggest you check the permitted value of individual non-commercial imports for your country. Some countries do not have such a threshold. However, if your country does and the value of your ordered paintings exceeds the allowed import threshold, you may be charged import duties. However, normally, these import duties do not exceed 20-50 USD.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is ready to ship, you will receive an email that contains a tracking code and a link to our shipping provider's website where you can track your order.
Returns and Refunds
Do you accept returns?
We do accept returns as per our 15-day return policy on all our products. We do not offer returns on any digital items sold on our website. Please also note that as all our physical products (e.g. canvas prints) are custom made to order, we do not accept returns if you want to return a painting due to a change of mind after your painting has been produced and dispatched. You can return your painting within 15 days after placing your order, if and only if, production of your order has not been initiated yet. For more information please refer to our Refund Policy. My painting arrived damaged or in damaged packaging; how do I get a refund?
From our experience, these situations occur very rarely. However, if you do find your item arrived damaged, we ask you to send us a photograph of the damage at email@example.com so that we can investigate your issue and provide the refund as soon as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order free of charge at any point before your order has been dispatched. Please note that you cannot cancel your order after it has been shipped, please refer to our Refund Policy.
Can I pay in my home currency? Which currencies do you accept?
To provide the best experience to our customers at checkout, we offer payment in a wide range of different currencies. We currently allow payment in the following currencies: US Dollar, British Pound, Euro, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, Russian Ruble, Indian Rupee and UAE Dirham.
