Impressionism

Impressionism is an artistic movement that originated in the late 1860s in France. Impressionist artists focus on conveying their feelings by depicting real life scenery, mostly landscapes and still life. Impressionists are known for their technique of applying many individual brush strokes onto canvas to create vivid, high contrast, glimmering colours. The main factor that differentiates impressionism from expressionism is that impressionist artists avoid conveying social and political issues as well as their own emotional state in their paintings.

We used thousands of paintings of the most famous Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Alfred Sisley and others to “teach” the AI the myriad of intricacies that are encompassed by this style.
